New "Greener" Kayaks From Pakboats

The new Arrow series continues Pakboats' development of extremely lightweight and affordable folding kayaks. Made with space age polymer coated materials, the Arrows are friendly to the environment and even lighter and tougher than previous models. The carbon fiber look of the kayak sides and an arrow graphic on the deck give each Arrow a dramatic, high tech appearance.

On the water, an Arrow is easy to paddle and performs at least as well as hard kayaks of the same size and shape - except that the extremely light weight makes the Arrow more responsive. Four individual cells of inflatable tubes in the sides provide rigidity, ease of assembly and a generous amount of flotation. Efficient paddling lines are made by sturdy anodized aluminum frames.

Due to their light weight, Arrow kayaks can easily be carried assembled on top of a car. Yet they are easy to assemble and and pack into a 29" x 10" x 14" bag. The packed size is so small that two Arrows can be packed together into a single piece of airline baggage - complete with two break-down paddles and two life jackets!

Priced from $830 for a 10.5 ft solo to $1195 for a 14 ft double, Arrows are much more affordable than other folding kayaks.
